Share the Life Talks Conference experience by hosting a Life Talks Seminar. The seminar includes a recording of speakers from our past conferences and companion resources such as discussion questions and notes.

Host Halton Alive or another pro-life group for a presentation to equip you, your friends, and family to address life issues. Keep scrolling to find other life-affirming organizations, including pro-life advocacy groups, educational organizations and pregnancy centers.
Educate

Share information and resources for life issues with your neighbours and community by distributing literature. Contact us to receive flyers.

Raise awareness of the number of unborn lives lost to abortion every year by organizing a flag display. To arrange a flag display please get in touch with We Need a Law.

Learn how to share your convictions with courage, compassion and clarity so that you can have conversations about life issues with the people around you.

Support Moms and Dads

Contact your local pregnancy centre to see what their needs are as they support mothers facing unplanned pregnancies. Current needs could include diapers, bottles, baby shampoo or even volunteer support. See how you can use your resources and talents to support mothers (and fathers). You can also offer to host a baby shower or create a registry for expecting mothers and support them together with your community or church.

Show love to parents through practical acts of love. Offer to babysit. Come over once a month to help in the kitchen and do meal prep. Pick up groceries. Help with home maintenance and projects. Assist with budgeting and financial planning. There’s endless ways you can do something small to take a large weight off the shoulder of parents in difficult circumstances.

Have discussions in your community and church about abortion healing and support systems so that people know that if they or their loved ones are hurting after abortion that healing and hope are possible. Consider facilitating a support group at your church using resources from Surrendering the Secret.
Most pregnancy centers also offer post-abortion support or you can find online support through Online Care Canada
Support the Vulnerable

Our Inspire Hope program brings hope and encouragement to the elderly in our community through simple acts of kindness and love. See how you can get involved in our next initiative by learning more about Inspire Hope here.

Loneliness almost always leads to despair. Look out for the people who are vulnerable to despair, such as an elderly neighbour or a friend facing chronic illness. Invite this person into your home, or visit them, to get to know them. Be sure to let them know that you care for them and that you value their life.

Be aware of vulnerable individuals, including those facing chronic illness, pain, loneliness, or lack of resources. Show care by offering help with practical needs like rides, doing errands and home maintenance.

Offer to accompany loved ones to medical appointments, as patients may need support to advocate for themselves. While not all doctors offer MAiD, having an advocate ensures patients receive proper care and treatment.

Share the pro-life message from your home. Add a lawn sign to your front lawn, hang a banner over your porch or decorate your sidewalk with chalk to communicate the value of life to your neighbours!
