The Moral Theology of Human Dignity & Autonomy

Join the Parish Caring Ministry and Life Team for the final evening in this three-part formation series exploring the moral theology surrounding human dignity, autonomy, and “medical assistance in dying” (MAiD).

A Catholic priest will guide participants in reflecting more deeply on what our faith teaches about human dignity and the value of every human life, equipping us to respond to today’s cultural challenges with a strong foundation of faith.

Life Chain is a public, prayerful, peaceful witness against legalized abortion on the first Sunday of October. It began in Yuba, California in 1987 and was brought to Canada in 1990 by Campaign Life Coalition who continues to lead this initiative.

Attending Life Chain is a great follow-up action point to Respect Life Sunday. Simply show up to participate.

Respect Life Sunday is a special day, dedicated to recognizing our pro-life calling and promoting a respect for human life and dignity. Churches across Halton Region recognize this day by including a custom brochure/postcard created by Halton Alive. Many churches will highlight this day in their bulletin, sermon, and with additional information at the back of the church.

Join the Parish Caring Ministry and Life Team for an evening exploring legal and sacramental planning as we prepare for life’s later years while upholding the dignity of every person.

Catholic lawyers will lead a discussion on practical legal planning and how families can thoughtfully prepare for life’s “second chapter” while remaining grounded in faith, hope, and respect for human dignity.

The Sanctity of Life & Faith-Based Health Advocacy

Join the Parish Caring Ministry and Life Team for an evening of formation and community engagement exploring health advocacy and “medical assistance in dying” (MAiD) through the lens of Catholic faith and the sanctity of human life.

This evening will be guided by a Life Team member and Catholic doctor, offering an opportunity to become informed, ask important questions, and consider how we can advocate for life with compassion and faith.

An evening with: Euthanasia Prevention Coalition Executive Director, Alex Schadenberg, podcaster Rachel Parker and author / activist Jonathon Van Maren.

The evening provides excellent speakers and an incredible opportunity to focus-on and share what needs to be done to change Canada's future.

The March for Life is an annual pro-life protest for human rights on Parliament Hill, Ottawa. Many countries host a March for Life at different times throughout the year. It is a chance to gather en masse to signal to the government that Canadians care about the life issue and don’t agree with death as a solution in our country.

Guest Speaker: Melissa Ohden Melissa Ohden is from the Abortion Survivors Network. Melissa was supposed to be aborted during a late-term abortion, but survived. She was placed in a hospital closet to die, but kept crying for hours. She was finally taken to the NICU and adopted. Melissa later searched for and found her biological mother, and now shares her powerful story with others.
